This week, a James City County teen is charged with grand larceny in connection with several car break-ins, and a food service employee working for the York County School Division is accused of embezzlement.

James City County
House Painter Accused of Stealing Jewelry
A 28-year-old man is facing a felony charge after police say he stole several pieces of jewelry and cash from a home he was painting.
Police said Justin Woods was part of a paint crew and was working at the home in the 3000 block of Kitchums Close in Governor’s Land off John Tyler Highway on Jan. 26.
That day, the homeowner noticed $75 in cash and jewelry valued at a total of $7,500 was missing from the home.
Police said Woods, a James City County man, sold some of the jewelry, which led to his arrest May 3. He is charged with one felony county of grand larceny.
Man Accused of DUI Maiming Heads to Grand Jury

A 32-year-old Williamsburg man had felony charges against him related to a drunken driving accident certified Thursday.
Kevin Lee Liechti is accused of having a .11 blood alcohol level when he crashed his car into a tree off Richmond Road in March, leaving one passenger with life-threatening injuries and another with major injuries, including abrasions, bruising, broken ribs and a large laceration to his back that required 34 stitches.
Liechti was charged with felony maiming while driving under the influence of alcohol and misdemeanor DUI.
Deputy Chief Steve Rubino with the James City County Police Department said both of the injured passengers have recovered.
A grand jury will now decide if there is enough evidence to move the case forward to trial.
JCC Teen Suspected of Breaking into Cars in The Vineyards
A 19-year-old man is facing charges after being accused of stealing items from three cars in James City County neighborhood.
Investigators with the James City County Police Department suspect Aiden Feldman, a James City County resident, broke into three cars between April 5 and 7, stealing more than $5,000 in items.
Police say Feldman stole a wallet from an unlocked car parked in the 2500 block of Campbell Close — in The Vineyards off Lake Powell Road — on April 5 and used credit cards in the wallet at various locations, spending $385. The accuser said his convertible top on the car was also damaged.
On April 7, police received two reports for car break-ins, one on Campbell Close and one on Pates Street. In the first, Feldman is accused of stealing a $2,000 camera, four camera lens valued at a total of $2,000, three GoPro cameras valued at a total of $1,000, a $400 tripod, a sport coat and $35 in gift cards.
Police found $58 bra, two cell phone charges, an iPod charger cord, a leather jacket and a bottle of tanning lotion were missing from the second car.
An investigation led police to arrest Feldman on Wednesday. He faces one count of credit card theft, two count of grand larceny and one count of conspiracy to commit larceny, all of which are felonies.
York County
Deputies Looking for Suspected Credit Card Thief

Authorities are asking the public for help in identifying a man accused of using stolen credit card information at a York County store.
A May 4 post on the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office Facebook page says the suspect purchased items at the Dick’s Sporting Goods store in Upper York County using stolen credit card information.

Sodexo Employee Accused of Embezzling from York County Schools
A Newport News woman working at Yorktown Elementary School for Sodexo, the company that provides food to the school division, is suspected of embezzling from the business.
Capt. Jimmie Richardson with YPSO said 49-year-old Ronda Joyner was embezzling money from Sodexo between Sept. 2 and Dec. 10.
YPSO was notified after Sodexo noticed discrepancies in the cash accounts, Richardson said.
In total, Joyner is accused of embezzling $3,100. She was arrested April 30 and charged with felony embezzlement.
Deputies Searching for Suspected Purse Thief

YPSO is asking the public for help in identifying a man accused of stealing a purse from Food Lion.
The Sheriff’s Office posted a picture Monday of surveillance video showing the suspect at the Food Lion on Hampton Highway.

Tabb Exxon Reportedly Broken Into
A 15-year-old boy is facing charges after being accused of breaking into a gas station in York County.
Authorities said the boy broke a window to enter the Exxon station in the 3100 block of Big Bethel Road and stole cigarettes and other items.
A tip led YPSO deputies to find and detain the 15-year-old boy, and petitions are being sought to charge him with felony breaking and entering with intent to steal and felony grand larceny.
Man Accused of Stealing Electronics from Kmart

Deputies with YPSO are searching for a suspected electronics thief.
A post on the YPSO Facebook page Friday said the man pictured stole two Samsung tablets from the Kmart on Victory Boulevard.
The man is described as black male in his mid-20s or 30s wearing a gray shirt with white stripes, blue jeans and black shoes.

Williamsburg
Woman Accused of Headbutting, Biting Officers in Courthouse Heads to Grand Jury
Charges were certified Thursday against a 54-year-old woman accused of assaulting two Williamsburg Police officers after refusing to leave the Williamsburg-James City County Courthouse.
Police say Angelnette Dobson was yelling at people and cursing at the sheriff’s deputies in the parking lot July 17.
When police arrived to detain her, she tried to push herself out of the grasp of one officer, and spit on and headbutted an officer, Maj. Greg Riley of the Williamsburg Police Department said.
Officers were eventually able to place her in handcuffs and drive her to Riverside Doctors’ Hospital, where she continued to resist, becoming verbally abusive and attempting to kick and bite the medical staff.
A grand jury will now decide May 20 if there is enough evidence to move the two felony charges of assault on a police officer forward to Circuit Court.
