Anyone planning a camping trip to Chickahominy Riverfront Park’s campsites this weekend will have to make other plans thanks to a broken water line.
County staff announced the break Friday evening. An assessment of what repairs are needed will be carried out Monday, according to a county news release.
Other than the camp sites, none of the parks amenities were affected by the break.
The park is located at 1350 John Tyler Highway on the shores of the Chickahominy River. Its 140 acres include two swimming pools, a boat ramp, a fishing pier, 161 campsites, a playground, picnic shelters and access to the Virginia Capital Trail.
