Supervisor Michael Hipple faces charges following an incident in King and Queen County.
Court records show Hipple, a member of the James City County Board of Supervisors, has been charged with destruction of property and entering property with intent to damage. Both are misdemeanors.
Hipple turned himself into the King & Queen County Sheriff’s Office the same day of the offense on March 26 and has been released on his own recognizance.
Requests for comment from the Commonwealth’s Attorney Charles Adkins have not yet been returned.
Hipple, a Republican who represents the Powhatan District, joined the board in November with 58.56 percent of the votes in his race against Democrat Bob Mandala.
