A Providence Forge woman pleaded guilty Friday to four felonies related to passing off forged prescriptions for hydrocodone at the Monticello Marketplace Target.

The guilty pleas were part of a plea agreement for 34-year-old Ridgley Brewster Morman, who police believe passed off forged prescriptions at pharmacies around Monticello Marketplace and other locations in the Historic Triangle. She was initially charged with 22 felonies for activity alleged to have occurred between June and October. Many of those charges were dropped as her case moved through the court system.

As part of the agreement, her guilty plea, which was accepted by Williamsburg-James City County Circuit Court Judge Michael McGinty, will not be entered until June. Morman’s attorney, Richard Collins, said Morman is enrolled  in a treatment program expected to conclude in June.

Morman forged prescriptions from a doctor at Urgent Care, according to Williamsburg-James City County Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney Cathy Black. The forgeries were reported to the Virginia State Police by doctors and pharmacies affected by the scheme, said Sgt. Michelle Anaya of the Virginia State Police.

A criminal complaint filed against Morman in Williamsburg-James City County District Court alleges the 34-year-old passed off slips at the Target and Martin’s pharmacies in Monticello Marketplace, as well as the Rite Aid on News Road across the street from that shopping center. She also allegedly passed them off at the Monticello Avenue Farm Fresh and the Wal-Mart on East Rochambeau Drive in Upper York County.

The Target connected to the guilty pleas was her most frequent target. She passed off prescriptions there five times and attempted to pass one off a sixth time on Oct. 21, the day of her arrest.

Morman will be sentenced at 9 a.m. June 18.
