The James City County Board of Supervisors is taking another step toward hiring the next county administrator, scheduling interviews with search firm candidates.
The board sent out a request for firms to apply to aid in finding and hiring the next county administrator. Supervisors discussed the applicant firms in a closed session Feb. 4 and decided to proceed with interviewing firms.
That step comes at 3 p.m. Tuesday when the board is scheduled to interview the candidates in a closed session.
The meeting will convene in open session and then the board will go into closed session to interview the firms; the public may attend the open portion of the meeting but there is no opportunity for public comment. No details will be released about the candidates until a firm is selected.
