Police believe the man suspected of robbing a 7-Eleven in Norge on Saturday afternoon may have robbed a convenience store in Henrico County the following morning.
An unidentified man entered the 7-Eleven and threatened the clerk on Saturday afternoon. He ordered her to give him lottery tickets, money and several packs of cigarettes. The clerk was then ordered to walk to the back of the store. He then left the store with those items. The clerk was not hurt and no weapon was displayed.
Richmond CBS affiliate WTVR reported that a man entered a convenience store on the West End at about 10:30 a.m. the following morning. He walked up to the counter and brandished a handgun, demanding money and Newport cigarettes. He then ordered the clerk to walk to the stock room in the back of the store before running off on foot.
The man in the surveillance image from that incident and the image from the 7-Eleven appear to be the same person, with matching jackets and hats along with similar physical features.
The suspect is described as being a black male between 35 and 45 years old with a heavy build who wore a bulky black and blue jacket. He is between 5-foot-10 and 6-feet tall, according to police.
