A James City County woman is facing a felony maiming charge after she allegedly stabbed a man in the chest with a pair of scissors at a Williamsburg motel early Saturday.
Maj. Greg Riley of the Williamsburg Police Department said officers responded to the motel on the 3000 block of Richmond Road at about 1:15 a.m. Saturday for a reported stabbing. When they arrived, they spoke with the man who had been stabbed. He identified a woman, 33-year-old Jennifer Marie Dickens, as the assailant.
Further investigation revealed the incident was domestic in nature. The victim was taken to Riverside Regional in Newport News for treatment.
Williams is facing one felony count of maiming for the incident. Riley said the victim will be OK.
