Local dog owners looking for a place to board their canine companion have a new business to choose from thanks to Paws Pet Resort, which is open for business on Airport Road near the City of Williamsburg line.
The new business, located at 5423 Airport Road, offers boarding and daycare services for dogs, which are referred to as “campers” when on site, according to a news release from the James City County Office of Economic Development.
Paws Pet Resort features a 4,000-square-foot building for boarding and daycare and a 3,800-square-foot outdoor play area.
The business is owned by James City County resident Karen Joyner. It is open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends. The lobby is closed from noon to 2 p.m. daily.
