A 50-year-old man believed to have been living in the woods behind the Williamsburg Crossing shopping center was found dead Tuesday.
James City County Police received a call from a friend of Thomas Jerry Millirons at around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The friend told investigators Millirons had been living in the woods near Zaxby’s and Food Lion off Route 199 and the friend “hadn’t seen him in a while,” Deputy Chief Steve Rubino said.
Police located the body and transported it to the medical examiner’s office in Richmond to determine the cause of death.
Police do not suspect foul play, Rubino said. Investigators determined Millirons had been dead for about a week.
He did not know how long Millirons had been living in the woods.
